If Tears Could Build a Stairway

If tears could build a stairway
And memories were a lane
I would walk right up to heaven
And bring you back again.
 
No farewell words were spoken
No time to say goodbye
You were gone before i knew it
And only god knows why.
 
My heart still aches in sadness
And tears still silently flow
What it meant to lose you
No one will ever know
 
But now I know you want me
To mourn for you no more
To remember all the happy times
Life still has in store.
 
Since you will never be forgotton
I pledge to you today
A hallowed place within my heart
Is where you will always stay

Eternal Fishing

Cool winds of love,
Blow gently through,
Eternal pictures, I see of you.
Relaxing by the summer lake,
My love for you is no fake.
Casting a shadow,
Over all our lives,
Making an impact and
Wrong things right.
Therapeutic hobbies,
Your life took over
Catching your dreams
Like a 4 leaf clover.
The infinite lake, you rise above
Your dreams fulfilled,
Complete with love.
Eternal fishing you
Now can go,
Remember dad, I still love you.
So, until you reel me
Up to you.
The hook in the mouth just
Will not do.
But I cannot stand by your grave
And weep,
For I see you’ve broken
The eternal sleep.
No matter where I am
On land, sea or air, I know dad,
You’ll always be there.
